The AST Board of Directors met October 20, 2007 and a vote was taken and passed to dissolve all chartered and nonchartered chapters. The NCSA will no longer encourage chapter formation within the state and will comply with the bylaws of the AST and the NCSA. CEU Workshop to be held
A CE workshop will be held September 20,2008 at Johnstom Memorial Hospital in Smithfield NC. 4 CEUs will be awarded pending approval from AST. Contact Tammy Aycocke at taycocke@cc.wilsonnc.edu for more info.

Workshops Throughout the Year
In an effort to help members of the NCSA get CEUs for education and recertification, the State Assembly is looking to sponsor up to three miniworkshops, along with our annual workshop/business meeting throughout the year. If any members are interested in hosting these miniworkshops, please contact any of the officers or board members.

NCSA Annual Meeting News
The annual NCSA meeting will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Asheville -Buncombe Technical Community College in Asheville NC. Registration forms will be sent to NCSA members around August 1, 2008. At this time we are unable to accept credit cards as a form of payment and are sorry for any problems this may cause. Personal checks or institutional checks and money orders will be accepted.
